Last week we asked you to share your favorite email client, then we rounded up the results for a vote. Now we're back to announce the winners and how the race shook out.
Taking home nearly 50% of the vote, Gmail swept the Hive as the only web-based client that garnered enough votes in the Call for Contenders to be included. Following Gmail was Thunderbird (19%), the popular open-source email client which was in turn followed by Microsoft's client Outlook (15%)—a mainstay in the corporate landscape. Wrapping up the end of the race was Apple Mail (11%) and Postbox (1%).
